Job Summary
The Country Head is responsible for driving business growth, profitability, and operational excellence for the company’s medical devices business in the assigned country. This role provides strategic leadership across sales, marketing, regulatory affairs, market access, supply chain, finance, and customer service while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the country business strategy aligned with regional and global objectives.
- Identify market opportunities and develop long-term growth plans.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth and market share expansion.
- Lead business transformation initiatives and organizational development.
2. Commercial Leadership
- Own the country P&L and achieve revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
- Lead sales and marketing teams to maximize business performance.
- Develop pricing, channel, and customer engagement strategies.
- Expand key accounts and strategic partnerships.
3. Regulatory & Quality Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all local medical device regulations.
- Oversee product registrations and regulatory submissions.
- Ensure adherence to quality management systems and company policies.
- Promote a culture of ethics, compliance, and patient safety.
4. Financial Management
- Develop annual operating plans and budgets.
- Monitor financial performance against targets.
- Optimize operating expenses and resource allocation.
- Manage forecasting, investments, and business risks.
5. Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with hospitals, healthcare providers, distributors, and government agencies.
- Represent the company before regulatory authorities and industry associations.
- Drive customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
6. Operations & Supply Chain
- Ensure efficient demand planning and inventory management.
- Collaborate with regional supply chain teams to maintain product availability.
- Improve operational efficiency and service levels.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
- 15–20+ years of experience in the medical devices, healthcare, diagnostics, or pharmaceutical industry.
- At least 8–10 years in senior commercial or general management roles.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and P&L responsibility.
